Miami Dolphins Tickets

The Miami Dolphins were founded in 1965 by Joe Robbie and actor Danny Thomas and began play in the American Football League in 1966. They moved into the NFL with the 1970 merger, the same year Don Shula arrived as head coach. Shula stayed through 1995 and built the most successful stretch in team history.

The 1972 Dolphins went 14-0 in the regular season and won Super Bowl VII, finishing the only perfect season in NFL history. Miami repeated as champion in Super Bowl VIII after the 1973 season and later reached Super Bowls XVII and XIX. Quarterback Dan Marino, who played for Miami from 1983 to 1999, led the team to ten playoff appearances.

Miami has not won a playoff game since the 2000 season. Jeff Hafley, formerly Green Bay's defensive coordinator, was hired in January 2026 as the franchise's 12th head coach.

Hard Rock Stadium is at 347 Don Shula Drive in Miami Gardens, Florida, a city north of Miami. It opened in 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium and has carried several names since, including Pro Player Stadium and Sun Life Stadium. A privately funded renovation in 2015 and 2016 reduced capacity to about 65,000 and added an open-air canopy over the seating bowl, with a large opening over the field, so the playing surface is not covered. The stadium hosted the College Football Playoff national championship in January 2026 and was a 2026 FIFA World Cup venue. The Miami Open tennis tournament has also been played on its grounds since 2019.

The Dolphins' shuttle program, the GEICO HRS Express, runs from park-and-ride lots at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel (Lot 70) and the Golden Glades parking garage (Lot 95). Brightline riders can take a free shuttle from the Aventura station on game days with a train ticket bought ahead. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is off-site at Lot 44, the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, a long walk from the gates, and the Dolphins encourage rideshare users to go to Lot 70 or Lot 95 and ride the shuttle instead.

Stadium parking must be bought in advance, and on-site lots often sell out. For Dolphins games, the park-and-ride lots are the main fallback when stadium lots are gone. Tailgating is allowed in designated lots under the stadium's published guidelines. Accessible parking in the inner lots also requires a pre-purchased pass.

The Dolphins use mobile tickets and follow the NFL clear-bag policy, so pack a clear bag within league limits or a small clutch. Early-season afternoon games are hot, so plan for sun on the walk from the lots. Check hardrockstadium.com for gate opening times and the permitted-items list before game day.

Hard Rock Stadium has a lower deck, a club level with about 10,000 wider club seats, an upper deck and roughly 190 suites. The canopy shades much of the bowl, but the center opening means some seats still get direct sun during afternoon kickoffs.

If shade matters, compare sections on the seat map rather than assuming every lower-level seat is covered, and note that upper-deck seats sit farther back from the field.

Division games against the Bills, Jets and Patriots draw strong interest, as do prime-time dates and late-season games that bring visiting fans south. Compare sideline and end zone sections on the seat map, weigh shade for day games, and read the quantity and seat notes on each listing. Never fees for buyers.
