About the Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1960. Tom Landry coached the club for its first 29 seasons, from 1960 through 1988, and led it to five Super Bowl appearances. Dallas won two of them, Super Bowl VI after the 1971 season and Super Bowl XII after the 1977 season.

The second wave came under Jimmy Johnson, who took over in 1989 and won back-to-back titles in Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII. Dallas added Super Bowl XXX after the 1995 season, bringing its total to five Super Bowl wins. That game remains the franchise's most recent Super Bowl appearance.

Brian Schottenheimer became head coach for the 2025 season, when Dallas finished second in the NFC East at 7-9-1 and missed the playoffs.

The Dallas Cowboys play in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Giants, and the Washington Commanders.

AT&T Stadium guide

AT&T Stadium is in Arlington, Texas, between Dallas and Fort Worth, not in Dallas itself. It opened in 2009 and seats about 80,000 for football, with standing-room areas that can push attendance past 100,000. The stadium has a retractable roof, so games can be played indoors, and it is known for its huge center-hung video board, about 160 feet wide. During the 2026 FIFA World Cup it operated under the temporary name Dallas Stadium and hosted more matches than any other venue in the tournament.

Getting to AT&T Stadium

Plan on driving or rideshare. Arlington has no fixed-route bus or rail service to the stadium. The closest rail option is the Trinity Railway Express at CentrePort/DFW Airport Station, several miles north, which means a rideshare or on-demand ride for the last leg. On Cowboys game days the rideshare pickup zone has been in Lot 15, west of Collins Street, and the stadium posts current drop-off locations on its parking page.

Parking

Stadium-controlled lots surround the building, with roughly 12,000 spaces in numbered lots and additional lettered lots near the Rangers' ballpark on event days. Parking passes can be bought online before the game, and buying ahead is the safer choice for popular matchups. Lots generally open five hours before kickoff. Tailgating is allowed in designated grass areas on the perimeter of several lots, and open flames and deep fryers are not permitted.

Arrival and entry

Tickets are mobile, so load them in the team's ticketing app before you reach the gate. The NFL clear-bag policy applies: clear bags within the league's size limit or a small clutch are allowed, and other bags are not. Shuttle service for guests with disabilities or limited mobility runs from Cowboys lots to the stadium. Check the AT&T Stadium website for gate opening times on your game day.

Seating tips at AT&T Stadium

AT&T Stadium stacks its seating from the field-level 100s up through club and mezzanine levels to the upper deck in the 400s. Club seats cover large sideline blocks on the lower levels, and more than 300 suites wrap the bowl. Behind each end zone, the Party Pass areas are open standing platforms arranged on elevated decks connected by stairs.

Because the roof can close, weather rarely affects the view. The video board hangs over midfield, so even upper-level end zone seats get a clear replay feed. Sideline seats in the mezzanine and upper levels give a full view of the field from a higher angle than field-level club sections.

Buying Dallas Cowboys tickets on TixBit

Division games against the Eagles and Giants, and Thanksgiving Day home games, usually draw the biggest crowds in Arlington. Compare the Party Pass standing areas with reserved upper-level seats on the seat map, since they offer a very different experience. Check the listing's quantity and seat notes if your group needs to sit together. Never fees for buyers.
