About the New York Giants
The New York Giants are one of the NFL's oldest franchises, founded in 1925. Before the Super Bowl era they won four NFL championships, in 1927, 1934, 1938, and 1956. Over their first five decades they played in New York City, first at the Polo Grounds and then at Yankee Stadium, before moving to Giants Stadium in New Jersey in 1976.
Bill Parcells coached the Giants to Super Bowl XXI after the 1986 season and Super Bowl XXV after the 1990 season. Tom Coughlin added two more, Super Bowl XLII after the 2007 season and Super Bowl XLVI after the 2011 season, both over the New England Patriots. That gives the franchise four Super Bowl titles.
After a 4-13 finish in 2025, the Giants hired John Harbaugh, who had won Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore, as head coach in January 2026.
The New York Giants play in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Washington Commanders.
MetLife Stadium guide
The Giants play at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, part of the Meadowlands Sports Complex about five miles west of Manhattan. The stadium opened in 2010 next to the site of the old Giants Stadium and is owned through a 50/50 partnership between the Giants and the Jets. It has no roof and seats about 82,500, the largest seating capacity in the NFL. On Giants game days the interior lighting switches to Giants blue. The stadium hosted the 2026 FIFA World Cup final in July under a temporary FIFA name.
Getting to MetLife Stadium
NJ Transit runs event-day trains on the Meadowlands Rail Line, which connects through Secaucus Junction, where riders from New York Penn Station and other lines transfer. Coach USA also runs bus service between the Port Authority Bus Terminal and the stadium on game days. NJ Transit has required rail riders to pick up a wristband at Secaucus Junction, so check its event page before you go. Rideshare pickup is in Lot E near the Verizon Gate.
Parking
A prepaid parking pass is required for Giants games. The team sells tiered passes for different lots, and passes are delivered as mobile or print-at-home passes. Lots open five hours before kickoff. Tailgating is a long Meadowlands tradition and is allowed in the complex lots unless posted otherwise, with each car limited to its own space.
Arrival and entry
Giants tickets are mobile and live in the team's ticketing app, so add them to your phone before you leave. The NFL clear-bag policy is enforced at every gate, so bring a clear bag within the league's size limit or a small clutch. MetLife Stadium is cashless, with reverse ATMs that convert cash to prepaid cards. Check Giants.com and the MetLife Stadium site for gate times before your game.
Seating tips at MetLife Stadium
MetLife Stadium has three main levels: the 100-level lower bowl, the 200-level mezzanine, and the 300-level upper deck. Many lower-level sideline seats come with access to indoor clubs such as the Coaches Club and the MetLife 50 Club, and the mezzanine includes a club level with enclosed lounges.
The stadium is open to the weather, and the upper deck catches more wind off the Meadowlands. For a late-season Giants game, a lower or mezzanine seat is more sheltered. Upper-level sideline sections still give a full view of the field.
Buying New York Giants tickets on TixBit
NFC East games against the Cowboys, Eagles, and Commanders tend to draw the largest Giants crowds, along with prime-time home games. December games in the Meadowlands can be cold, so weigh club access against open-air seats on the seat map. Check listing notes carefully, since MetLife also hosts Jets games and you want the Giants date. Never fees for buyers.
