About the Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders were founded in Oakland in 1960 as an American Football League charter member. Al Davis joined as head coach and general manager in 1963 and later owned the team, shaping it for nearly five decades. Oakland won the 1967 AFL title before losing Super Bowl II to Green Bay.

John Madden coached the Raiders to their first Super Bowl win, Super Bowl XI after the 1976 season. Tom Flores added two more: Super Bowl XV, and Super Bowl XVIII after the team had moved to Los Angeles, where it played from 1982 to 1994. The franchise returned to Oakland in 1995, reached Super Bowl XXXVII after the 2002 season and lost to Tampa Bay.

The move to Las Vegas came in 2020. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Raiders hired Klint Kubiak, fresh off Seattle's Super Bowl LX win as offensive coordinator, as head coach.

The Las Vegas Raiders play in the AFC West with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Denver Broncos, and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Allegiant Stadium guide

Allegiant Stadium opened in 2020 in Paradise, Nevada, the unincorporated area that holds most of the Las Vegas Strip. It sits west of Interstate 15, across the highway from Mandalay Bay. The building is fully enclosed under a translucent ETFE roof and is climate-controlled, so weather is not a factor. It seats about 65,000 for Raiders games and uses a natural grass field that rolls in on a tray. An 85-foot torch honoring Al Davis stands in the north end zone, in front of large retractable windows. The stadium is set to host Super Bowl LXIII in February 2029.

Getting to Allegiant Stadium

Many fans walk from the Strip. On game days the Hacienda Avenue bridge over I-15 closes to cars, making a pedestrian route of less than a mile from Las Vegas Boulevard. The RTC runs a Game Day Express bus from several casino locations around the valley, and the Deuce bus along the Strip stops at Mandalay Bay. The Las Vegas Monorail does not reach the stadium. Rideshare uses a dedicated zone in Lot N on Dean Martin Drive.

Parking

On-site parking is limited and sold in advance as lot-specific passes, so do not expect to pay at a gate. Lots typically open about four hours before kickoff and do not allow re-entry. Tailgating is permitted in designated lots, including some off-site ones, and setups must come down once the game starts.

Arrival and entry

Allegiant Stadium is cashless, and tickets are mobile. The NFL clear-bag policy applies, and bottles, cans and hard-sided containers are not allowed. Check the stadium site for gate times before you head over.

Seating tips at Allegiant Stadium

Allegiant has four seating tiers. The 100 level rings the field, with club sections along both sidelines. Those club seats come with lounge access. The 200 level is mostly suites and loge boxes, with some regular seats in the end zones and corners. The 300 and 400 levels make up the upper bowl.

The Black Hole, the Raiders' loudest fan section, carried over from Oakland; check the seat map and listing notes if you want to sit with it. Since the roof covers the whole bowl, rain and cold are not concerns.

Buying Las Vegas Raiders tickets on TixBit

Las Vegas draws visiting fans from across the country, so games against popular road teams and division rivals Kansas City, Denver and the Chargers can fill the building with both fan bases. Prime-time games and weekends with big events on the Strip also affect demand. Compare sideline clubs, the Black Hole and the upper levels on the seat map, and check listing notes for quantity and row. Never fees for buyers.
