Metallica M72 2027 presale and onsale timeline
All times below are local to the show city, as published by Live Nation. A Vancouver presale does not open on Eastern Time. Confirm the city, venue, and local clock on the official event page before you queue.
| Window | Who | When |
|---|---|---|
| Fan Club presale | Metallica Fan Club | Monday, September 21, 2026, 10 a.m. local |
| Citi Entertainment presale | Citi cardmembers | Tuesday, September 22, 10 a.m. local through Thursday, September 24, 10 p.m. local |
| Verizon Shine presale | Eligible Verizon customers, U.S. shows | Tuesday, September 22, 10 a.m. local through Thursday, September 24, 10 p.m. local |
| General onsale | Public | Friday, September 25, 2026, 10 a.m. local |
Live Nation says Citi is the official card of the M72 World Tour and points cardmembers to Citi Entertainment for program details. Verizon's window is described as a Shine loyalty offer for newly added U.S. M72 shows. Eligibility, codes, and account rules can change by program. Read the current official terms for the date you want.
A presale is an early window for an eligible group, not a guarantee of a better section or a lower total. If you miss every window, wait for the public onsale and compare current listings rather than guessing from a screenshot.

How this run fits the Sphere residency
These stadium dates resume M72 after Metallica's Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. Live Nation lists that residency from October 1, 2026, through March 13, 2027. Sphere tickets and M72 stadium tickets are different events. Do not treat a Las Vegas date as a substitute for Vancouver, Buffalo, or any other stadium stop.
Pollstar describes the 2027 North America shows as the first M72 dates in these 12 cities. Live Nation also notes that a portion of proceeds from every ticket sold goes to local charities through Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation.
How to choose a city and venue
The closest date is not always the easiest night. Before you pick a city, compare:
- Stadium type. Pollstar groups several stops as college stadiums (Sun Bowl, Razorback Stadium, Camp Randall, Snapdragon) and others as NFL buildings (Arrowhead, Lucas Oil Stadium, Huntington Bank Field, and new Highmark Stadium in Buffalo). Campus dates and NFL dates can differ in parking, transit, and surrounding hotels. Check the venue's current event-day rules rather than assuming every stadium works the same way.
- Indoor, dome, or open bowl. BC Place and the Alamodome are enclosed. Several other stops are outdoor or open-air football bowls. Weather, bag policy, and arrival time matter more outdoors in May and June.
- Travel margin. A Friday or Saturday city with a direct flight can beat a closer weekday date once you add parking, lodging, and the trip home.
- In-the-round setup. The tour is billed In The Round At The 50 Yard Line. That is a center-field / midfield production, not a conventional end-stage concert. View, sightline, and whether a ticket is reserved or general admission are event-specific. Do not rely on a generic football chart or an old M72 map from another year. Use the map and ticket description on the date you are buying.
- Group size. Confirm the quantity you need is available together where assigned seating applies. Ticket limits can vary by event and sale window.
Buffalo's June 8 date is at Highmark Stadium. TixBit lists that building at Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park. Use that venue page for the building's upcoming events. Use the Metallica event page for the June 8 concert. Use the Metallica performer page when you want the catalog. For other cities, start on the venues hub or search Metallica dates.
A practical Metallica ticket checklist
Before you commit to a listing, verify:
- Artist and tour. Metallica, M72 World Tour 2027. Distinguish the stadium date from Sphere, a different Metallica catalog event, or a tribute show.
- City, venue, and calendar date. Match the table above. Confirm the local start time on the event page.
- Ticket type. Standard admission, resale inventory, an enhanced experience, a travel package, parking, or another add-on. Live Nation points buyers to the official tour page for enhanced experiences and travel packages. Those are not the same product as a general ticket.
- Quantity and seats. Read the section, row, and seat numbers shown, plus any view or age restriction. What you see is what you get: real seats, real sections, no phantom rows.
- Delivery. Mobile transfer can require an account and an accepted transfer in the primary issuer's app. Electronic delivery windows matter more if you buy close to the show.
- The amount shown before payment. On TixBit there are no fees for buyers. What you see is what you pay. That is not a claim that TixBit is always the lowest total. If you check another site, match the same date, section, row, quantity, restrictions, and delivery, then compare the disclosed totals.

TixBit listings are covered by the TixBit Guarantee. Read the current terms for canceled or unfulfilled orders before checkout. For a matched-seat fee comparison across marketplaces, see the ticket resale fee comparison.

Who is opening for Metallica on these dates?
Live Nation and Pollstar both list Limp Bizkit and Avatar as support on the 2027 North American run. Opening-act details can still change by city. Confirm the event page for the date you want.
How many North America stadium dates were announced?
Twelve. The route starts May 8, 2027, in Vancouver and ends June 19, 2027, in Salt Lake City.
What does In The Round At The 50 Yard Line mean?
It is the official billing for this stadium configuration: a midfield / 50-yard-line production rather than a standard end-stage setup. It does not tell you your exact section, whether a ticket is general admission, or what your view will be. Those details belong on the specific event's map and listing.
Are these the same tickets as Metallica at Sphere?
No. Sphere's Life Burns Faster residency is listed from October 1, 2026, through March 13, 2027, in Las Vegas. The M72 stadium dates are a later, separate North America run.
Does every venue use reserved seating?
Do not assume that. The announcement does not publish a seat map or a general-admission rule for every city. Check the event-specific map and ticket description for reserved seats, general admission, or a mix.
How do I find Metallica tickets on TixBit?
Use TixBit's Metallica search or the concerts hub. Open the exact 2027 stadium date, read the seats shown, and review the price shown before payment.
Does TixBit add buyer fees to Metallica tickets?
No. TixBit has $0 buyer fees. No fees for buyers. What you see is what you pay. Compare that shown total with any other offer you are considering.
