Should I buy conference championship tickets before the matchup is set?

Only if you want to attend regardless of who plays. Each game's matchup is decided by the regular season, which ends in late November. A ticket bought now is a ticket to the game, not to a specific team.

Things to weigh:

Your team's path. If you only want to go if your team qualifies, buying early means you may need to resell if it does not.
Travel. Atlanta, Indianapolis, Arlington, and Charlotte hotels and flights are separate costs. A ticket guarantee covers the ticket, not the trip.
Price movement. Resale prices can move once the matchup is known, in either direction. There is no reliable rule. Set a budget and a stopping point.

What should I check before buying championship tickets?

Match the exact game. Confirm the conference, date, kickoff, and stadium. Skip watch parties and parking unless that is what you want.
Read the seats shown. Check the section, row, quantity, and any view restriction. What you see is what you get. Real seats. Real sections. No phantom rows.
Check delivery. Know how and when the tickets arrive. Our mobile ticket transfer guide covers accepting transfers.
Compare the price shown before payment. On TixBit there are never fees for buyers. What you see is what you pay. That is not a claim that TixBit is always the lowest total. Match the same seats before you compare final totals.
