Definition
An obstructed-view seat has a known limitation, such as a railing, speaker stack, overhang, or angle that blocks part of what you came to see. These tickets are often priced lower, and the tradeoff can be worth it if you care more about getting in the room than having a perfect sightline.
Examples
- “The seat was marked obstructed view because a camera platform blocked one corner of the stage.”
- “Some fans happily take an obstructed-view seat if the price drop is big enough.”
