Motorco is mainly a standing room venue with a capacity of about 500 people. Its accessible bleacher seating along the side wall accommodates around 40 people.
Nearly all shows are general admission. Some shows may be seated or semi-seated, and select shows may have VIP area seating. The venue describes each show's seating arrangements on its event page.
Motorco is at 723 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham, NC 27701. It sits between Durham Central Park and the Foster and West Geer Streets Historic District.
The venue says street parking is available and that two parking decks are within walking distance.
Parts&Labor, Motorco's restaurant and bar, is right next door and stays open late.
The Showroom doors normally open one hour before show time. Event times on the venue's site are show start times, and headliners generally go on about an hour after the show starts. The Showroom closes soon after the event ends.
All shows are all ages unless the show description says otherwise. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Bring a government-issued photo ID, because security checks identification at every show and you must be 21 or older with proof of age to be served alcohol. The bars serve water, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits.
Reasonably sized bags and purses are allowed. Large bags and backpacks are not, and all bags are searched before entry. No outside food or beverages, markers, spray paint or weapons are allowed. There are a few coat hooks near the front door, but the venue is not responsible for clothing left there. Re-entry is allowed at most shows with your handstamp or wristband and your ID.
Motorco says it is ADA compliant and asks visitors with accessibility needs to arrive 15 minutes before doors open. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside, and moshing, crowd surfing and stage diving are not allowed. Tickets are fully transferable. Motorco's refund policy allows refunds only for cancellation or postponement of the headlining act.
