Audi Field is a soccer-specific stadium with a listed capacity of 20,000. The venue describes a main concourse and an upper concourse.
The Washington Spirit list their supporters groups in sections 136 and 137. The D.C. United A-Z guide also sets aside a designated visiting team supporter section and has separate rules for signs, flags and banners in the supporter sections.
Premium options include suites and the Events DC Club, located on the second level of the east side of Audi Field. The venue lists two elevators at the premium lobby that serve the east stands, and a third elevator inside the FanDuel Sportsbook that serves suites 27 to 31 and the Heineken Rooftop bar. Accessible seating is available throughout the stadium. For accessible seat requests, email [email protected] or visit the box office on matchday.
Audi Field can be reached from Navy Yard-Ballpark on the Green Line. The stadium also names Waterfront station as an option and asks fans to keep noise down on the residential streets near it.
The venue recommends booking a spot in advance through its SpotHero page. You can also park at Anacostia station and ride the Green Line one stop to Navy Yard-Ballpark.
For rideshare, the stadium directs drivers and riders toward Nationals Park because of heavy traffic around the stadium. To reach the pickup zone, leave through Gate A and turn right on Potomac Avenue toward Nationals Park. Pickups are not allowed on South Capitol Street.
Other options include a free bike valet at 2nd Street and T Street SW and Capital Bikeshare facilities. A free ADA shuttle runs from 55 M Street SE for fans with disabilities, and the venue says it may not run for some non-D.C. United events.
Audi Field lists four main entrances for D.C. United events: Gates A, B and C, plus Premium Entry. Gate A is at the northeast corner at Potomac Avenue SW and 1st Street SW. Premium Entry is on the east side. Guest Services is just inside Gate A.
The bag policy allows bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches. Backpacks and luggage are not allowed, but cinch bags that fit the size limit are. Each gate has separate bag and no-bag lanes, and fans without bags get through faster. Binbox lockers are available outside the gates for bags that do not meet the policy. Everyone passes through metal detection before entering.
Outside food and drink are not allowed, and neither are glass, metal or plastic containers, umbrellas, selfie sticks or professional cameras. When the stadium announces a heat-advisory exception, it allows one sealed water bottle up to 20 ounces per person. Alcohol buyers must show ID, and at D.C. United matches alcohol sales stop in the 75th minute or earlier at management's discretion. The stadium is smoke-free, and you cannot leave and re-enter on the same ticket.
Service animals are welcome. Strollers that do not fold under a seat must be checked at no cost just inside Gate A. The venue has a sensory room on the rooftop of Heineken Tower near Gate A, and sensory bags are available at Guest Services. On matchdays the box office opens four hours before the listed match time and closes at halftime.
